Privacy Policy
Effective October 22, 2026.
This policy explains what G2 Auto Group ("G2", "we") collects through this website and our text messages, how we use it, and the choices you have.
We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or your text message opt-in and consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party, except the service providers that deliver our texts for us.
What we collect
When you send a request through our form, we collect what you type in:
- Your name, phone number, and email address
- The car you are interested in
- For pre-qualification requests: the credit range you pick and your rough down payment
- For viewing requests: your preferred day and time
- Whether you agreed to receive text messages, the exact wording you agreed to, and when you agreed
Our quick request form never asks for your Social Security number. Only the credit application does.
If you fill out our credit application, we also collect:
- Your Social Security number, date of birth, and driver's license number and state
- Your address, how long you have lived there, and your housing payment
- Your employment, income, and other income you choose to list
- For business applications: the business's legal name, tax ID (EIN), type, revenue, bank and address, and the same personal details for the principal applying
- The documents you upload, such as your driver's license, pay stubs, bank statements, proof of address, or business records
- Your typed signature, the date, and the exact authorization wording you agreed to
We also keep a record of your request as it moves forward (its status, notes from our staff, and the texts we send you and receive from you), so we can help you and track your request.
How we use it
- To respond to your request: calling, emailing, or texting you about it
- To give you a tracking ID and show your request's status on our tracking page
- To evaluate your credit application and arrange financing with lenders, when you apply
- To schedule viewings, appointments, and deliveries
- To keep business, legal, and tax records
We do not use your information for marketing texts.
Who we share it with
- Service providers that run this website and our request system for us: website hosting, our database, and our text messaging provider. They may only use your information to provide those services to us.
- Lenders, only if you submit a credit application or ask us to help with financing. We share your application and documents with the lenders we send it to, so they can evaluate and process it.
- When the law requires it, such as a valid legal request, or to protect our rights and our customers.
We do not sell your personal information.
Text messages
Texting is optional and only happens if you tick the text box on our form. Message frequency varies with your request. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop texts, or HELP for help. Full details are in our Text Message Terms.
Tracking page and your device
To save you typing next time, the tracking page remembers your tracking ID and the last 4 digits of your phone number in your own browser. You can clear this by clearing your browser's site data. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your device's IP address when the page loads.
How long we keep it
We keep credit applications and their documents for 25 months after you submit them, as federal lending rules require, and then delete them automatically. We keep other request records for as long as we need them to serve you and to meet our legal and recordkeeping duties, then delete them.
Your choices
- Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving them.
- Contact us to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you. We may need to keep some records the law requires us to keep.
Security
We use access controls and encrypted connections to protect your information. Only G2 staff who need it can see your request.
For credit applications, your Social Security number, date of birth and license number are encrypted before they are stored, and your documents are kept in private storage that is not reachable from the public website. Staff must use two-step login to open a credit application, and every time someone opens one, reveals those numbers, or downloads a document, it is recorded.
No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
Children
This website is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date.
